MOP Media was started in 2006 by two friends, Darrin Fossella (aka Liquid Acrobat) and Shelley Kohli. Our purpose is both to educate and to encourage people to STOP, take a deep breathe, look within. Surround yourself with our core values - Wellness, Greeness, & Positiveness. We are MOP Heads. A Mind Of Peace.

Our design style is a mix of 60s Psychedelic Poster Art, Warhol Pop Art and 70s Retro Funk. MOP designs have power, wisdom and healing vibes associated with them. We use them as "secret" guides to help remind us to love more, spread joy and kindness, recycle, eat healthier, walk softly, do yoga, meditate, uplift and unite.

Knowing that each person's inner spirit is unique, we have filled the MOP Media store with designs from many different wellness, ecological and spiritual traditions. All the products are hand crafted by MOP, thus becoming unique one-off items. From the initial design concept, through multiple digital renders and then professionally heat pressing the image onto various products, a MOP product is a true piece of original hand crafted artwork. Darrin has combined his considerable talents as a musician, multimedia engineer and computer programmer to achieve success in all three arenas. His love of music emerged growing up during the 80s in New Jersey, through playing guitar, scratch DJ’ing and break dancing. Simultaneously, his fascination with programming computers (an Atari 800) began to take hold, and the combination of these two passions marked the beginning of an extensive career producing computer music, video & graphics.

Some of his recent accomplishments include working as a digital audio/video engineer for Sony BMG from 2000 to 2006, the 2003 release of Liquid Acrobat’s album, Warm Atlantis, and serving as the music designer for a 2002 full feature documentary about Sooni Taraporevala and Mira Nair, produced by the South Asia Against AIDS Foundation (SAAAIDS). He was also the digital encoding engineer for the Grammy Award winning album, Robin Williams Live 2002 (Columbia Records).

Darrin was also a founding member of the legendary underground San Francisco DJ collective S.P.A.Z. While living in SF Darrin was a sound engineer at Grace Cathedral and the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre and was the systems administrator for NetNoir. Shelley Kohli is the Founder of Lotus Productions. She is a media relations specialist and events producer who works on fundraising campaigns and creative projects which increase public awareness.

Shelley’s events production and promotion work allies host organizations with contribution to symposiums and special events for major and grassroot non profit organizations.
